On December 2, 2024, the body of an elder man was found bearing gunshot wounds in the head by locals in his place of residence in the Ma’amel al-Defaa Residences in al-Sfira city in eastern Aleppo governorate. The body was identified as Abdou Abdul Mannan Ebou, born in 1960 from Qatma village in the rural areas of Afrin city in northwestern Aleppo governorate who was a member of the Communist Labor Party. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify Abdou Ebou killers as of this writing, with the controlling forces bearing responsibility for identifying her killers.
