On November 20, 2024, four civilians -a man, his wife, his sister, and his daughter- were injured by the explosion of a booby-trapped television of unidentified source. The television detonated while the family was trying to operate it in a house in Debrak (Sheikhan) village to the southeast of Ein al-Arab city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. The family was then taken in for treatment. The house was also partially destroyed in the bombing. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses and survivors to obtain more information about the incident.
We condemn all bombings that take place in residential areas. We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas. Syria will never have true stability without a genuine political transition process towards democracy within a fixed timetable.
