A man, identified as 30-year-old Yasser al-Taha from Abu Kahf village in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was shot and killed on July 26, 2024, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) after they had asked him to stop near his home village. The area is under the control of the SDF.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that the SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
