A man, identified as Mohammad Hamshou from Tadef city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, died on July 15, 2024, of wounds sustained one day earlier, July 14, when a war remnant of unidentified source exploded in a refrigerator truck while he was transporting goods in his home city. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that war remnants continue to pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives. We have released numerous reports on cluster munitions and other war remnants, calling for securing equipment to help local residents to safely dispose of the various explosive remnants.
