A man, identified as Mohammad Fadel, was shot dead on April 24, 2024, by a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sniper stationed in Mar’anaz village in northern Aleppo governorate. Mohammad was shot while he was driving a tractor on As’as road in the south of his home city of Izaz in northern Aleppo governorate. The area where Mohammad was shot is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that, through this killing, the SDF has again violated international human rights law. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
