Mahmoud Said al-Kafri, a 37-year-old media worker, was shot dead on November 10, 2023, by personnel affiliated with the Syrian regime’s Air Force Intelligence Directorate in his hometown of M’arba in eastern rural Daraa governorate.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Mahmoud was a member of the Daraa 24 Media Network, and had worked before in the fields of relief aid and education in Daraa city before regime forces regained control of the city.
It should be also noted that through this killing, Syrian regime forces have again violated international humanitarian law. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
