On August 12, 2023, the body of a man, identified as 37-year-old Najm Abdullah al-Hmoud from Shamer al-S’ieden village in southern rural Aleppo governorate, was found by local residents, bearing gunshot wounds in the back, inside his car on Jarablos Road to the north of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate.
The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify Najm’s killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility to identify his killers.
