Ahmad Hamed al-Khlouf, an internally displaced person from al-Mayadeen city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate who had been living in al-Hawayej village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, and who worked as a shepherd, was shot dead on February 15, 2023, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) members, who opened fire at the car he was riding on the al-Madhoul Road in the badiya (desert area) near al-Jarthi village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that, through this act of killing, the SDF has again violated international human rights law. Those responsible must be held accountable.
