Lam’en Mahmoud Othman, girl born in 2008, from Karzelieh village, administratively affiliated with Afrin city, in northern Aleppo governorate, she lives in al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city. She was abducted on December 10, 2022, by the SDF’s al-Shabiba al-Thawriya, (Revolutionary Youth), also known as the ‘’Joanne Schurchkar’ from eastern al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood for the purpose of conscription. She was taken to an SDF recruitment center.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights notes that her family was not notified of what had happened to her. She was not allowed to contact or visit them. We have concerns that she will be thrust into direct and indirect military acts.
It should be noted that roughly 213 children are currently conscripted in SDF military training camps.
