Ali Eisa al-Alloush, from al-Dwair village, administratively affiliated with al-Ashara city in eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on December 17, 2022, by gunmen we have not been able to identify in the village, which is under the control of Syrian regime forces.
The Syr ian Network for Human Rights is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We condemn all acts of killing targeting civilians. We call on the controlling parties to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians living in areas under their control, and to launch an investigation into this incident and make its details known to the public. Syria will never have true stability without a true political transition process to implement democracy under a concrete timetable.
