On the morning of November 6, 2022, Murin village, in western Idlib governorate, was targeted with multiple missiles, one of which landed next to the Murin Halaqa Oula School, adjacent to the Murin IDP camp in the south of the village, heavily damaging the school fence.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has so far been unable to conclusively identify the perpetrators of the attack, although we suspect that it was carried out by either Syrian regime forces or Russian forces since the bombing emanated from areas under their control. Investigations are still underway to conclusively identify the party responsible for the attack and the exact munitions used.

Exclusive photo by SNHR shows the damage caused to the school fence by the missile attack.
