Hassan Ahmad Dahdouh, from Jeiroud city, north of Damascus Suburbs Governorate, was arrested by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) members on October 15, 2022, in a raid on his house in al-Mahmudiya neighborhood of Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo, and taken to an undisclosed destination.

SNHR indicates that his phone was confiscated and he was prevented from communicating with his relatives. We fear that he will be subjected to torture, and that he may go on to be classified as forcibly disappeared, as is the case for 85% of all detainees.

We demand that HTS provide financial and moral compensation for the victims and their families, and put an end to all arbitrary detentions aimed at spreading terror among the community, and to blackmail of the families. We also demand that HTS disclose the fate of thousands of forcibly disappeared persons.
