Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fired three artillery shells at an area on the bank of the Euphrates River near Jarablus city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, on October 6, 2022. One of the shells hit a civilian vehicle, killing two civilians and several damaging the vehicle.

SNHR notes that through this attack, the Syrian Democratic Forces have again clearly violated UN Security Council resolutions 2139 and 2254 which prohibit any further indiscriminate attacks, as well as violating the rules of international humanitarian law which stress the distinction between civilians and combatants, which spread terror among civilians.
