The body of a 25-year-old, Abdul Karim Ali Eid al Hawasna, from al Lajat area in eastern Daraa governorate, was found on August 17, 2022. Abdul Karim was abducted by unidentified gunmen back in January 2022.
Al Lajat region is under the control of the Syrian regime forces. SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for his killing. The controlling forces are responsible for revealing the perpetrating party, but there has been no such investigation, which raises doubts over its involvement in these incidents.
