A civilian died on July 2, due to wounds sustained in an explosion in western Homs

A fifty-year-old civilian, Nadim Muhammad Jo, from Qaryat village of Tal Kalakh city in western Homs governorate died on July 2, 2022 due to wounds sustained on July 1, 2022 after an explosion of an unknown cause and source while he was fishing near al Ghayda village in Homs governorate western suburbs, which is under the control of the Syrian regime forces. 

SNHR is still trying to reach witnesses of that incident to get more details.

We demand that the controlling forces bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and also calls on the controlling forces to launch an investigation and reveal its results to the public.

There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
