A sixteen-year-old boy, Abdul Muhsen Abdul Qader al Ali, from al Derbasiya city in the northern suburbs of Hasaka governorate, was abducted by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel on June 17, 2022, the city for conscription, and taken to a recruitment center.
SNHR notes that the child’s parents have not been informed of his whereabouts, and he hasn’t been allowed to contact his family, who are also forbidden from visiting him. We fear he may be forced to participate directly or indirectly in military operations, and confirm that around 197 children are still conscripted in Syrian Democratic Forces recruitment camps.
