The bodies of two women, Fatima Omar al Khalaf and another woman, whom we are yet unable to name, were found by the internal security forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces in Sector Three of al Hol Camp for IDPs near al Hol town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate on June 17, 2022, bearing gunshot wounds.

The camp is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for their deaths. Although the controlling forces in the area bear responsibility for revealing the party responsible for the killing, these forces haven’t launched any investigation, which indicates they may be involved in this murder and similar incidents.
