A young girl from Ma’rata village of Afrin city north of Aleppo governorate, Julia Tareq Dado, born in 2009 lives in al Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo city, was abducted by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel on April 21, 2022, after she exited her school, Baraa Bin Malek in al Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo city for conscription, and taken to an undisclosed location.

SNHR notes that the girl’s parents have not been informed of her whereabouts, and she hasn’t been allowed to contact her family, who are also forbidden from visiting her. We fear she may be forced to participate directly or indirectly in military operations, and confirm that around 156 children are still conscripted in Syrian Democratic Forces recruitment camps.
