An elderly man suffered burns in a fire that broke out due to the explosion of a heater in his tent in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah IDP Camp near Barisha village in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate on March 11, 2022.

The fire also damaged the stone wall that the tent was erected against and completely destroyed the tent’s fabric ceiling.

SNHR calls on international relief organizations to urgently satisfy the IDP camps’ main needs and supply the administrations with extra tents for emergencies.
