A female child, named as Ayana Ibrahim Idris, born in 2006, from Amouda city in the northern suburbs of Hasaka governorate, was kidnapped on November 21, for conscription by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel in the city and taken to an SDF conscription camp.
SNHR notes that no member of the girl’s family was informed of her arrest and that she was prevented from contacting her family, who are not allowed to visit her. SNHR fears that she will be forced to engage directly and indirectly in military operations, and confirms that around 136 children are still detained for forced conscription in the SDF’s camps.
