Two IEDs of unknown origin exploded in Jarablos city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on September 28, 2021, The first IED exploded near the city’s local council building, leaving seven civilians wounded with varying injuries, after which the second IED exploded at the entrance to the city’s vegetable market, killing two civilians, named as Ali al Alloush and Mamoun Abdullah Elwan and injuring other civilians in addition to material damages to the explosion sites.
The city is controlled by the Syrian National Army while SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses and survivors to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians and calls on the Syrian National Army to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
