The bodies of two Iraqi refugee women were discovered in al Hawl IDP Camp in al Hawl Camp in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate on September 13, 2021, bearing gunshot wounds.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the murder of the two civilians, the area is controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
