A fire of unknown cause broke out on August 27, 2021, in al Hawl IDP Camp near al Hawl town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate, with a number of children and women sustaining light burns as they attempted to extinguish the blaze, which completely destroyed around 30 tents.
