A man, his son, and his nephew; identified respectively as Ammar Azzdin, Mousa Izzdin, and Mohammad Eisa Hosam al-Din from Ein al-Sharqiya town in the rural areas of Jabla city in southern rural Latakia governorate; were shot and killed on January 8, 2025, by unidentified gunmen while working on an agricultural land near Ein al-Sharqiya town. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas, investigate this incident, and make the findings available to the public.
