The body of 25-year-old man, named as Khaled al Halabi, from Kafr Urouq village in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate, was discovered by the Civil Defense team in the vicinity of the village on August 13, 2021.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for killing the civilian, the area is under the joint control of factions from the Armed Opposition and Hay’at Tahrir al Sham. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
