The body of a man from Haila village in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate, named as Majbal al Eleiwi, was discovered on agricultural land to the east of al Bal’a village in Sahl al Rouj area in the governorate’s western suburbs on March 23, 2021.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the civilian’s killing, the area is under the joint control of factions from the Armed Opposition and Hay’at Tahrir al Sham. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
