The body of a member of the Civil Police, named as Muhammad Kakhyah, from Homs governorate, was discovered bearing signs of gunshot wounds on farmland located between the villages of Akada and Kafr Ghan in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on January 16, 2021.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian National Army. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation into the killing, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in it.
