A man from al Marj town in Eatern Ghouta in Damascus suburbs governorate, named as Muhammad Ghafer Barakat, born in 1997, was abducted by unidentified gunmen in Villas neighborhood in Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on January 4, 2021, and taken to an undisclosed location. SNHR is unable to identify the specific party responsible for the man’s abduction, although the area is controlled by the Syrian National Army. SNHR condemns all abductions and arbitrary arrests.
