The body of a 13-year-old boy, named as Qusai Abdul Rahman Shehab, was discovered on December 8, 2020, by Civil Defense personnel on agricultural land in al Hamam village, which is administratively a part of Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate. Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the child’s killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian National Army. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
