The body of a man named as Ibrahim Ahmad al Shehadah, who had been displaced from al Faraja village in the eastern suburbs of Idlib governorate, was discovered by local families on the road between Sarmada city and Ras al Hussen in the northern suburbs of the governorate on November 12, 2020, after he went missing the day before.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the killing, the area is controlled by the Hay’at Tahrir al Sham. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, the SDF has not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
