At least nine civilians, most of them from the same family, who were working in grazing their sheep, were shot dead by militiamen affiliated with the Syrian regime who attacked their residence in al Fasda village in a Badiya (empty desert) area in the eastern suburbs of Hama governorate, with the killers stealing their property, including money, sheep and cars, on September 29, 2020.
SNHR notes that the Syrian regime forces and their affiliated militias have committed a violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
