Hundreds of palm and olive trees in fields of Tadmur city in the eastern suburbs of Homs governorate burnt when a fire of unknown source broke out on May 25, 2020. SNHR has been unable to identify what was the cause of fire up to the time of writing. Although the controlling forces, Syrian regime, bear responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, the regime has not launched any investigation, resulting in severe damage to lands and properties.
