Two sisters from Telmennes town in the eastern suburbs of Idlib, Leen and Intisar al Abdullah (age 3 and 4 respectively), died, while their mother was injured, in a fire caused by the explosion of a heater in their family’s tent in the Ibraz IDPs’ Camp in Rajo county in the north of Aleppo governorate on January 17, 2022. The fire also completely destroyed the tent.
SNHR calls on international relief organizations to urgently meet the camps’ basic needs for emergency supplies and provide their administrations with extra tents for emergencies.
