A man from al Anzawiya village in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, named as Fawaz al Hasan, was shot dead on December 23, 2021, by Syrian Democratic Forces while he was trying to cross the area between SDF-controlled areas and Syrian National Army-controlled areas to the west of Manbej city in the governorate.
SNHR notes that the SDF have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
