The body of a 13-year-old boy, named as Abdul Rahman Naser al Ghanem, from al Hasawiya village in the suburbs of Homs governorate, was discovered on December 2, 2021, by families in the village bearing stab wounds inflicted with a sharp instrument.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the child’s killing, the area is controlled by Syrian regime forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
