Samer al Abdullah from Deir Ez-Zour city, the deputy of the Civil Council of Deir Ez-Zour, which is affiliated with and run by the Syrian Democratic Forces who appoint two co-chairs to run it, was killed on October 27, 2021, by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel when they raided a civilian’s home in al Sabha village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate.
SNHR notes that the SDF has committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
