A 25-year-old man, named as Abdullah Eyadah al Khater, from al Zer village which is administratively a part of al Bseira city in the east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on October 16, 2021, by Syrian Democratic Forces as he tried to escape for his home for fear of being arrested during a raid on his home in the village.
SNHR notes that the SDF have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
