A woman from Ma’dan city in the eastern suburbs of Raqqa governorate, named as Shamsah Mahmoud al Sibat, was killed on October 5, 2021, by Syrian regime forces personnel when they opened fire at the bus on which she was a passenger near Tadmur city in the eastern suburbs of Homs governorate, under the pretext that the bus did not stop at a regime checkpoint for inspection.
SNHR notes that Syrian regime forces have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
