A girl from Na’our Jourin village in the western suburbs of Hama governorate, named as Sirin Rayyan al Qseibi, was killed while other civilians were injured on September 1, 2021, in artillery shelling by Hay’at Tahrir al Sham of residential buildings in the village.
Through this action, HTS has, without doubt, committed another violation of Security Council resolutions 2139 and 2254 which prohibit any further indiscriminate attacks, as well as violating the rules of international humanitarian law which stress the distinction between civilians and combatants. Attacks of this nature spread terror and panic among civilians.
