A man from Raqqa governorate, named as Muhammad al Shakkam, was shot dead on August 28, 2021, by Syrian National Army personnel near al Shoukan village which is administratively a part of Tal Abyad city in the northern suburbs of the governorate.
SNHR notes that the Syrian National Army has committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
