A man from Einjara village in the western suburbs of Aleppo governorate, named as Ahmad Jamil Mughrabi, was shot dead on May 11, 2021 in al Dana city in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate when a member of Hay’at Tahrir al Sham opened fire randomly at the parents of a child accused of stealing a motorcycle. SNHR notes that the child’s parents tried to prevent Hay’at Tahrir al Sham from arresting their child.
SNHR notes that Hay’at Tahrir al Sham has committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
