The bodies of a man, named as Ahmad Khalaf al Jad’an, and his wife, Shamsah al Sawadi, were discovered in their home in al Rmaila neighborhood in northern Raqqa city on April 6, 2021, bearing signs of gunshot wounds.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the civilian’s killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
