A man named as Mashhour Medhi Khalaf al Jad’an, from al Hejna village which is administratively a part of al Bseira city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, went missing on November 9, 2020, in the village. On November 11, 2020, local families discovered his decapitated body near Daman village in the northeastern suburbs of Deir the governorate.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, SDF have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
