This photo shows smoke rising over Beneen village in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate on September 16, 2020 as a result of artillery shelling of the village by Syrian regime forces. SNHR notes that Beneen is one of the areas included in a ceasefire agreement reached following consultations between the Turkish and Russian presidents, which came into effect on March 6, 2020. Despite this agreement, the Syrian regime forces have not stopped ground attacks on the area, resulting in further displacement.
