A motorcycle bomb of so-far unknown origin exploded in a local market in Jarablos city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on August 15, 2020, resulting in the death of 27-year-old civilian, Ahmad Muhammad al Bakkour, and partially damaging a number of shops. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses and survivors to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all attacks which target civilians for indiscriminate killing and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control and to conduct investigation and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition toward democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
