Omar Qanti, from Hayyan town in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, was killed on January 3, 2020, in the explosion of remnants of a previous shelling by Syrian- Russian Alliance forces on Hayyan town. Yet, the remnants of weapons constitute a real threat to civilians in the areas controlled by factions of armed opposition. SNHR has issued a number of reports on cluster munitions and remnants of weapons where we urged to have special equipment that helps civilians in removing explosive remnants.
