The death of a religious person in Syrian regime detention center, December 23

Helal Zain al Ali, Imam and preacher of a mosque in al Kharitta village in the western suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, from al Kharitta village, was arrested in May 2007, by Syrian regime forces in al Kharitta village. On December 23, 2019, we received information confirming his death due to torture in 2014, in a detention center.
