Ahmad Abdullah al Mekhlef and Moutaz Mustafa al Talab, from al Sukkariya village which is administratively a part of Tal Abyad city in the northern suburbs of Raqqa governorate, were arrested on September 28, 2019, by Syrian Democratic forces in a raid on their houses in al Sukkariya village and taken to an undisclosed location.
