On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the dead body of a man, identified as Abdul Aziz Yousef al-Redwan from Karm al-Luz neighborhood in Homs city, bearing gunshot wounds by local residents near the old garage in the city.
According to information obtained by the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) from reliable local sources, Abdul Aziz, who was a moving truck driver, had been abducted one day earlier, Friday, April 25, 2025, by unidentified gunmen who raided his house near al-Shamela Clinics in Karm al-Luz neighborhood.
SNHR is still investigating this incident and collecting more information. As of this writing, the perpetrators are still unidentified.
SNHR calls on the transitional government to uphold its legal and moral responsibility to protect civilians in their areas, and to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the incident in order to identify and hold the perpetrators accountable.
