On March 22, 2025, a man, identified as Alaa Ahmad al-Nisani from Karm Shumshum neighborhood in Homs city, was found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents in al-Khaldiya neighborhood in Homs city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Alaa’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
